Welcome to WonderWanderland, my digital diary!
I’m Sheila, or you can also call me Shey; a Christian, a wife to a sailor, and a mom to a grade-schooler son. I work remotely and love finding practical, DIY-friendly ways to make travel work for our family.

Most posts in this blog chronicle our self-researched, self-planned travel itineraries and adventures. Here, I share our travel experiences—from the places we visit and the food we try to the logistics of getting there. I share moments that spark my curiosity and how I balance slow travel with family and building a flexible work setup.
When useful, I also write about budgeting, traveling with a young child, and planning trips with my 65-year-old mom. At times, I also offer my views and experiences on my journey as a freelance, remote-working professional.
I hope that you’ll find stories to enjoy, inspiration from how we overcome challenges, and practical insights from our adventures to help you decide what resonates with you. Enjoy the journey, and please feel free to introduce yourself and share your experiences in the comments. 🤗
