I’m in Bangkok with my husband and family. We’re visiting our brother-in-law and his wife, who have lived here for years. They know all the best spots in the city. We’re a group of enthusiastic eaters always on the lookout for a new feasting experience. To make the most of Bangkok, we’re eating out on a weekday with no restrictions. Today, we decided to skip Thai cuisine and explore Western options, so we headed to Sizzler: Steak, Seafood, Salad at Central World.

How to go to Sizzler Central World
Sizzler is at CentralWorld, Thailand’s second-largest shopping complex. CentralWorld sits at the Ratchaprasong intersection, where Ratchadamri Road meets Rama I Road and Ploenchit Road in Pathumwan, Bangkok. The center sits along a major city artery, so hundreds of public buses pass by every day. It’s also reachable via the BTS, with Chit Lom and Ratchathewi stations just a short walk away. Sizzler is on the 6th floor of CentralWorld and is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The Ambiance and the Staff
From the outside, Sizzler is showing a wide and airy interior enclosed by glass walls. Inside, the dining tables and chairs are arranged neatly to maximize space without crowding guests. The layout allows for comfortable movement around each table while still preserving a sense of privacy for diners.

When we arrived, some diners were already there, including a few foreigners. A smiling receptionist welcomed us and promptly led our party of five. I was with my husband, my mother-in-law, my brother-in-law, and his wife. The staff member was quick to provide the menu and spoke in Thai. My brother-in-law understands a bit of Thai, so there was little need for the staff to switch to English when our group shared details.
Sizzler’s (Steak, Seafood, Salad) Menu
If you are looking for a pause on Thai food, Sizzler is one of the places to consider when in Bangkok. They offer various types of steaks and food options: beef, pork, chicken, and seafood with soup, sala,d and dessert.
We were famished and chose pork for everyone: pork spareribs for the ladies and fried German pork legs for the men. Ordering meat granted us unlimited access to the soup, salad, and dessert buffet. It was a perfect offering for me, since I adore salads and sweets.
Sizzler’s Soup, Salad, Dessert buffet
While waiting for our ordered meat, we helped ourselves at the buffet islands. The moment I walked up to the salad bar, I felt that little spark of excitement. So many colors and textures! It looked fresh, inviting, and honestly a bit therapeutic after a long day. There were piles of crisp romaine and butter lettuce high in bowls.
I found myself lingering over the toppings—vibrant cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, and kernels of sweet corn that looked like tiny drops of sunshine. There were crunchy add-ons too: garlic croutons, toasted nuts, and a mix of seeds. Hooray for healthier choices!
The dressings were each in its own container, from the reliable ranch to a tangy vinaigrette. It smelled like lemon and herbs. I loved that everything looked thoughtfully arranged— fresh options that made me want to build the perfect bowl.

The Food and the Taste
I enjoyed the hot soup, and I got myself a couple of green salad plates, which were fresh and satisfying. We waited about fifteen minutes before the dishes arrived, gradually growing restless. The spare ribs came first, followed by the pork legs about ten minutes later. As we dug in, I felt the portions were generous, though the plating and presentation could be improved. Flavor-wise, the meat was well-seasoned and tender, though a bit dry for my taste. I prefer meat that’s soft and still juicy. Despite that, the overall plate was satisfying and well worth the wait.

Sizzler Central World: Value for Money
We paid about 3,300 THB for five people. Considering the easy-to-find location, pleasant ambiance, and friendly staff, the restaurant offered fair value. The menu boasted a wide variety of meats, plus unlimited access to soup, green salad, and a dessert buffet, along with a fruit shake and four refillable soft drinks. We were so full because of the buffet and generous servings. We ended up wrapping a good portion of the pork ribs and legs to go.
The unlimited access to the soup, salad, and dessert islands was a standout bonus when ordering meat. It’s a smart marketing angle for the restaurant—enjoy excellent meat while also offering healthier options. A few areas for improvement: the staff could establish a stronger rapport with guests by communicating in English, especially since the concept leans toward a Western dining experience, and the plate presentation could be enhanced. Overall, I understand why many guests love and enjoy their Sizzler experience.
